I noticed this phenomenon when my father passed away, and this is the first time I have ever mentioned this since his death. There were vultures grabbing his belongings left right and center. What on earth for? It was only STUFF, stuff they perhaps wanted to sell, or have for some reason but where were they when Dad was so ill? Who was holding his hand when he cried in pain, who dried his tears and listened to his fears and worries? It angers me and triggers emotions all over again with this death.
Why are we filling church pews at funerals, bringing food to the family all of a sudden, paying visits to those in mourning for the first time....... all when it is too late! How this irks me
Our life matters, what we do with our life matters, we count - how many people do you know are going through a hard time yet you - yes YOU - do nothing about it? Have you picked up the phone to ask how they are doing? Have you paid a visit to them? Have you brought food and clothes to those you know have not? Or will you stick your head in the sand and hope that if you ignore, it will go away?
REMINDER: There are those that notice, those that thought they mattered to you and have realised that you dont care - yes, acknowledge it, you dont care.
Oh how sad..... regret is an awful thing
